Weird Signs ...
After seeing a great sign photo that was posted by Jay Are on her blog, Derring-do, I thought I might add a few of my own which I photographed on our trip up to Northern Queensland (Australia) a few months ago.
Near Mission Beach:
Unusual, huh ?!?!?

Thanks so much Meow for leaving your nice comment on my blog. I've followed you back to yours and I love your place. I bookmark you and I will return soon!
Funny!
I posted a funny sign ages ago on one of my posts with a moose crossing. What's a cassowarie; it looks like a peacock.
great signs!! definitely different than any signs seen in my neck of the woods!!
(and there's no way to have known by the initials *jay are* :) but I'm actually a girl.:) Perhaps it's time to make that clearer; maybe it's time for a name change of sorts. At any rate, just thought I'd mention it. Somehow it makes a difference how you read a blog when you picture the person as male or female....
Also, I noticed that you like Sue Grafton. Her new book is out!)
like your blog, esp the pics.
i find your sunburnt country/island/continent very interesting; my soon-to-be-ex wife has family there, and I've always wanted to visit...
Sonia, you are most welcome. I have also bookmarked yours.
Cathy, a cassowary is a huge bird, similar in size to an ostrich or emu. They can be very nasty.
Jay Are, thanks for that clarification. I really wasn't sure on the male or female angle !! Yes, I love Sue Grafton, must get that new book.
Bryan, it is a beautiful country ... please take the time some time to pay us a visit, you'll enjoy it.
daybyday4-2day, no I'm not a beader ... attempt many other crafts, but not beading yet !!
Thanks for all your comments.

Great collection. You certainly get around.
Madi, as with the old Leyland Brothers, we "travel all over the countryside" :-)
When we were on our trip, we covered over 10,000 kilometres in the 6 1/2 weeks we were away. It's amazing what you see.
no problem on the gender confusion! :) it's my fault for being so vague.....:)
Jay are, thanks for being understanding ! :-)
