Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

Yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind and thoughtful comments regarding my last post ...

The kids are doing OK, after the traumatic events of last weekend ... thank goodness. I'm sure the image will remain in their heads for some time, though.

Bambi is doing fine ... back to her (annoyingly, lovable, cheeky) normal self ... another thank goodness !!

Regarding the bushfire situation I wrote about in a number of posts during December and January, it was reported in the newspapers in the past couple days that all the major fires are now either out, or contained. This must be a huge relief to the people living in the areas where the fires were (or still are burning). Many of the fires began in early December ... what a long time to be living in fear of those fires, and what a long time for the fire-fighters to be constantly "at it". Once again, I've got to say what an inspiration those fire-fighters are. They work so tirelessly, at great risk to their own safety. They all deserve to be congratulated on an amazing job.

Anyway, it is almost the weekend again ... it is Friday morning, 10.30ish. I have no big plans for my weekend. Do you ???

Have a good one, my friends.

Take care,

MEOW

WE don't have any big plans either, just napping nd catching the sun beams. Glad to hear that the kids are doing better, sad to hear that people are seemingly unaware of what they are doing at times.

Hey you! I'm sorry for not having visited for ages.
How sad for the kiddies and the poor kitty :(
It sure is a relief to know that the bushfires are controlled finally, what a horrible ordeal for all involved.
We've not really got any major plans for this weekend either.
Have a good one hon! Kali xo

I wish you a peaceful weekend. It was an eventful week, I'm sure.
I know the desperation people go through with the fires, so I really wish it will get back to normal. I always feel so useless at those occasions. Cheers to those fire-fighters!

Hi there, I’ve been relying on using Bloglines to do my daily rounds of the blogroll for a while now, it’s a very time saving method but it feels a bit impersonal at times, so it’s a hot Saturday, I’m gonna sit here and visit with everyone, It won’t feel any different to you but know that I chose to visit today instead of just answering an electronic reminder.
Have a good day.
You are another lucky??? one to get two comments Meow.

Wonderful news to hear that the fires are now all in control...as you can, one can't even imagine the stress of those people waiting to see if their homes would burn down! The firefighters are indeed to be recommended, they are a breed of their own, these men and women. No plans for the weekend, just relaxing:-) Hugs xox

The fires were certainly horrific down your way, Meow. Glad all seems to be on the mend again now...it won't be long and everything will be green again with the new shoots popping up everywhere.

No plans here, either...just plans to keep cool with hopes it rains...I might do some more to my painting..other than that a lazy weekend lies ahead.

Hi Meow, at last the bushfires are under control! Those wonderful fireys deserve more than a medal for the fantastic job they have down over the last three months.

Glad to hear all has settled down relatively well after the incident last week, and that Bambi is safe and sound, as are all the kids!

Nothing planned so far for the weekend, although the idea of a bit of retail therapy is nudging its way into my conscious...hmmm.

Sorry to read about the kitties. Was busy all week that I missed it. Glad that bushfires have been placed under control. They can really be bad for those with asthma.

Hope you have a good weekend!

It's my sons b14th.

Sorry about your kitty.

hope the memory goes away soon. I was a young teen in the backseat when the driver ran over a kitty. I still can't forget.

Glad to hear that these terrible fires are stopped by now ! It's true the firemen have a real hard work and so dangerous. I don't know if you have noticed, but I finally was able to change my headers ! It's quite easy with the new Blogger but I only found it out after 3 h of fumbling around with the htmls in my template ! I am very proud of the header because I put all the pictures together with my poor programs Picasa and HP photos and got the htmls from ImageShack. I don't know why Photobucket was not accepted. But it's the result which counts. Now I just want to put a nice line in. I changed all my 4 blogs, but it's fun, I like it. It's a pitty that when I was young webdesign didn't exist. That would have been a job for me !

I am glad Bambi it doing better and I can only hope Chickie will soon forget what she saw.

I have been very busy and just now getting around and catching up. Seems the blog-o-sphere stops for no one and especially not for me! LOL

I am seeing if I can visit everyone before the next week begins and then work harder at daily visits. Less memes and more blogging for me!

I hope all is well with you and that you week is a good one! Oh I borrowed your Cat Wash video. It was just too funny to pass on!

Thanks everyone for your comments. Sorry I am (once again) not answering your comments individually. It has been busy, busy, busy here again, with the computer doing all sorts of stuff, which has stopped me from blogging. Hope your weekend was fabulous. Will be back to blogging again shortly.
Take care, Meow

Gidday Meow,
What a terrible sight for the childen too see the poor cat run over.
I sure hope the speeding woman knew or was told about what happened so that she takes more care in future.
Unfortunately young folk don't take as much care as us "oldies". They just get in their cars and "blast off"
