Have A Great Weekend ...

Just a quickie from me to say HI, and hope you are all well.

Been pretty busy these past few days, and will be for the next couple. Hope to be dropping by your blogs again early next week. Looking forward to reading what you have all been up to.

We are off to a wedding today (Saturday), in the city. The wedding itself is at a big church on the corner of Russell Street and Collins Street, and the reception is at the Old Melbourne Gaol. Should be interesting, to say the least. It is forecast to be around 38C today, and the outfit I have chosen is probably not appropriate for a hot summer's day, but it's what I'm wearing, nonetheless. I haven't gone out and bought anything new ... don't get the opportunity to wear "going out" clothes much, so usually make do with what I have. It is a nice outfit, I feel good in it, it is comfortable ... what more could I ask for !! I imagine it will be cool-ish in the Old Melbourne Gaol, being an old building with lots of rock and cobblestones ... here's hoping, anyway (I don't imagine it has any airconditioning !!).

Off to a 4WD show tomorrow. Again it is forecast to be 38C ... gosh, I hope some cooler weather comes soon ... I am so over the heat, and having to live in a closed house with the airconditioning on (I guess I should be greatful that we even have airconditioning!). I long for some cool breezes blowing through open doors and windows ... sigh !!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great weekend.

Take care,

I'm just trying to get a mental image of the church...blimey i think i've been gone too long, i can't picture it, how sad. I know the one opposite Flinders St Station, and one in Elizabeth st...but can't remember the one you're going to :(

Have a fun time, stay cool :o)

Enjoy the 4WD show. I just went to the Miami Boat Show on what is my Friday. Saturday for those of you in the future.

BTW today's sea shanty is "Botany Bay". I do not know who sings it.

Hope you enjoyed the wedding, Meow. I'm sure you looked great. We sometimes worry unnecessarily about what we should wear at such occasions and at the completion of them, wonder why we did!

Take care in that heat. I love Collins Street! And I adore Lygon St. Carlton! :)

Have a great weekend Meow and enjoy the wedding. I've just been reading about Bambi's tricks to try to get you to let her go outside. Oscar does that sometimes, too, even now. Give them both full marks for trying, eh?

Have a great weekend.

If I could I would send you some cool weather and take some heat off there for change ! You are lucky to go to a wedding ! I love it and also never buy something especially for that. I wear what is in my wardrobe and anyway it's always trousers (with a nice top of course)

Hope you had fun at the wedding and didn't sweat too much in your "going out" clothes!

A bit weird to read about your complaints about heat, when we are freezing our butts off while it's snowing outside!

Have a great week! =^..^=

Hi Everyone, thanks for your wonderful comments. The wedding went well, although it was very, very hot. We didn't go to the 4WD show ... too hot. Reprieve from the heat today ... thank goodness.
Take care, Meow

Sounds like you enjoyed the day anyway meow, even if it was too hot. We know, don't we - but I am with you, not to buy anything special that sits in the cupboard unworn .. just for one afternoon, not worth it.

We are getting cool mornings here already - and for a change I am enjoying them, I usually like it the hotter the better...

Hope you had a lovely time at the wedding Meow and got some cooler weather. I don't envy your heat at all but at least you have air conditioning :).

Hope you didn't melt at the wedding. But pity the poor bride in that horrible weather.
