What a nice poeme ! And I love the Kookaburra ! I read about this funny bird on an Australian blog and asked what it was. Apparently they are alarm clocks ! I wish I had one in my garden !

Hi Meow, I'm thinking that your pink colour scheme change means you have come over to Beta.
I was searching for a particular parody of the 12 days of Christmas tonight and came across this version, which I had never seen before, there are many others too.

Gattina ... thank you. Kookaburras are great, but they are terribly noisy at the most inappropriate times !!!

Peter ... hmmmm, nope, I have always had a pink colour scheme !!! There are lots of interesting Aussie version Christmas songs out there !

Jean-Luc ... thank you, I'm glad.

Heidi ... thanks, they're fun, aren't they !!

Nick ... glad I could add to your collection !!

Bossy ... yay, you made it back ... wonder what happened !! Ummm, snakes on skis ... use your inagination, perhaps !!

Marie ... aaawwww, I guess you must really miss Australia. Don't know that I could live anywhere else ... visit, yes, live, no !!

Glad you all enjoyed this version of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Sorry for the double post, meow...not sure how that happened! (Can't blame it on too much Christmas cheer as I've not had any yet!" ;)

Neo ... I tried posting pictures to go with the song, so non-Aussies would know what they are, but evil Blogger wouldn't let me. I just tried again today, too ... nada !! Never mind.

Kimananda ... thank you, and likewise.

Lee ... thank you. It is a fun song. The kids at school sing it for their Christmas concert ... lots of fun !!

Take care, Meow

Michael ... galahs are a type of cockatoo, pink and grey ... I put a new post showing pics of them and the other animals.

Greeneyes ... Giggle .... a galah is a pink and grey cockatoo type bird.
I had a couple questions asked about some of these animals, so I posted their pics on a new post !!
Yesterday nasty blogger wouldn't let me post pics, so I had to figure out a new way to do it. It is a sort of word processing package, found at www.wbloggar.com, and it allows you to prepare your post off-line (if you want), including the code for the pics (I use photobucket for that), then preview it, before posting it ... no problems with the photos this way !!! Worked for me, anyway !!! I get so frustrated with Blogger sometimes ... grrrrrr !!

Glad you enjoyed the poem/song ... it get stuck in my head, too. When the kids at school sing it at their christmas concert, they all have some of the animals in their hands, so when a particular animal is sung, that animal (a stuffed toy, not real one!) is lifted up ... so much fun !!

Take care, Meow
