Oooh, It's Looking A Lot Like Spring ...

Hope you are all having a wonderful week. So far, I have been. The weather is most definately Spring-like ... we should be getting up to 21 Celcius (69 Fahrenheit) today, with warmer later this week ... whoo-hoo, a heat wave !!

We went 10 Pin Bowling with some friends last night ... gosh, it was such fun. I hadn't bowled for a couple of years, and it took me awhile to get back into it ... bit frustrating at first, but then I got my groove back !!! First game I got a measly 100, but second game I got a nice 159 ... what a star !!!

I had a couple of people asking about the photos I took over the weekend, and what I did, and what sort of a camera it is. Well, it is a Kodak DX 6490, with 4 megapixels, and a 10x optical zoom using a great Schneider - Kreuznach Variogon Lens (gobbledy-gook, I know, but it might mean something to someone !!!). I usually leave it on it's Auto function, only changing from Macro, to Distance, or Sports functions, and of course zooming in and out as required. Nothing special, I like to keep it simple !!!

Here are a few more photos from the weekend, all taken from Chinaman's Hill at Bonnie Doon.

I received a fun email yesterday, thought I'd share ...

How Smart is Your Right Foot?

This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep trying at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't.

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand.

Your foot will change direction. I told you so .....And there's nothing you can do about it

Make sure you pass this on to your friends...they won't be able to believe it either!!

Anyway, I guess I had better go and do something constructive ... dusting, vaccuuming, washing ... a woman's work is never done !!

Have a wonderful day, my dear blogging friends.

Take care,

MEOW

Daybyday ... you are welcome. I think it's hilarious ... no matter how often we tried it, the foot always tried to change direction !!

This is really funny! I tried it myself trying to outdo my right foot but it's really impossible. As soon as you draw the 6 your right foot automatically changes direction.
I needed this laugh after what I had gone through.

More wonderful photos.

Any suggestions for how to treat a dislocated knee, sprained ankle and wrist and crossed eyes?... just kidding. I was determined to prove that I could do it - but I can't.

Jesus CHRIST! My foot DID change direction!!!

That's freaky.

Anyhow, moving on...I adored the photos, as per usual, but my favourite was the very top one.

I knew what almost all of those Aussie slang terms stood for.

Yay me!

Glad y'all (heh. "y'all") had such a great time in any case. I've just had a very lazy bank holiday weekend, at least one day of which was spent mostly in bed watching CSI.

It was fan-bloody-tastic.

Toodles for now.

...ooh, I've posted the next extract of my story, by the way.

;-)

Fridays Child ... glad I could make you laugh. Like your new photo, by the way.

Jeanette ... thank you, and I too love the look of trees reflected on the water. The Murray is amazing for that.

Alice ... thank you. Hope all those bits right themselves ... couldn't do it, could ya !?!?

Alice ... thank you. I think you Brits know alot of our slang as there are so many of us over there !! Glad you had a nice long weekend. I will drop over to read the next extract, thanks.

Autumn ... thank you.

Dr. Deb ... thank you. I hope you get here one day.

Clare ... thank you. Hope it doesn't get too cold too quickly.

Take care everyone, and have a great day .... Meow

Ok all I have proven is that my right foot isn't too smart! LOL I so love the photos with the trees. They call out to me for some reason. Very nice photography. You do like I do! Mine mostly stays on Auto but I have been trying to pick one subject and learn all I can, like macro. That was a fun and usefull one to know!

Hope you had a good one and that tomorrow is better!

MEOW: It never fails. First Orlando, then Miami and last night West Palm Beach. A starving Cat. I was on a sidestreet and pulled alongside the Cat with the window unrolled. Couldn't figure out how to get the door unlocked. Pulled over, put on the flashers. Unlocked door. Tried to get very skinny Cat to come to Michael. No luck. Ran into some weeds. I tried meowing. Random cars passed. I stopped/resumed. No luck. Took off! Thought I'd share this here!

I wish it felt more like fall here. It's still much too hot.

My right foot has a negative IQ.

Helpppp I've fallen and can't get up!! lol That'll teach me from trying out what was suggested in the email you got! hehe Great fun! Love your pictures and that camera certainly is a good one, the pictures are so clear!!

Fruitfulspirit ... thanks. I love auto function on cameras ... makes me feel like I can do anything !!

Michael ... I'm sorry, but I chuckle at the mental picture of you on the road, trying to coax a kitty into your car !!! Better luck next time !!

Cathy ... I know what you mean, that's how I felt 6 months ago, when you guys were coming into the warmer stuff, and ours was departing.

Bossy ... thank you, and I know what you mean about the cloud ... I thought it was weird !!

Nick ... I know what you mean about the IQ ... my foot is lucky to make it into positives !!!

Susie ... I was disgusted with my first game, as Hubby and I used to play League bowling, for about 7 years, and used to bowl pretty good. So getting a 100 was a real let-down for me !!

Pea ... I think that email has got everyone's feet stumped !!! It's just so weird, don't you think.

Have a wonderful day everyone, take care, Meow

We are getting some lovely rain at the moment, spread over three days so far, hope the catchment areas are getting it too, sure looks like Bonnie Doon needs heaps.

I am loving the reflection photos! Really, really nice, Meow! :-)

Love the foot thing. Will be trying it all day now.

WOW what beautiful pictures. They are awesome!

Meow (aka Connie) said...

Dick ... we had a little bit of rain last week, but I don't think the catchments got much of it. I think we are going into stricter water restrictions as of today.

Chrixean ... thank you so much.

Dawn ... thank you. Keep trying ... don't know anyone who's been able to do it !!

Take care, Meow
