Whacky Weekend ... It's Over ... Aaaaawwwww !!

Hello Friends,

It is Monday morning in Australia, it is a sunny, smoggy day, quite mild in temperature. But ... it's MONDAY ... and that means the weekend's over, and we are back doing 9 to 5 routines !! Darn !!

My weekend was fairly quiet.

Saturday morning was Chicky's netball (they lost ... boo-hoo !!), then it was home to do some housework and cooking, as we were having friends over for dinner that night. It was a lovely evening, we chatted till all hours, and made plans for a camping holiday in the September school holidays. We will be heading to the Broken Hill region (which is in Western NSW). Should be a great trip ... can't wait.

Sunday was quiet ... I fiddled around with iTunes a bit, in preparation for my IPod, which I will get in the next day or two ... whoo-hoo !! I had to turn the computer off mid-afternoon, as we had a ripper electrical thunder storm, and I am paranoid that the computer will blow up, so I turn it off and unplug it from the power during storms. Better safe, than sorry, I always say !! I spent this down-time completing a mail-out I was doing for a friend ... 225 letters needed enveloping, labelling, stamping, and rubber-stamping (return address on the back). Booooring !! It's done now, though, and the letters are posted ... thank goodness !!

Unfortunately, I didn't get around to visiting all your blogs over the weekend, so I must apologise for that (again). I hope to get around to you all over the next couple days. Please forgive me, don't forget about me !!

Today I need to type up the newsletter I do each month for the Australian Multiple Birth Association, which will take me a few hours. Hopefully, once that's done, I can come visiting !!!

I would like to wish a belated Happy Birthday (for yesterday) to Kali ... hope you had a wonderful day.

Thank you everyone for letting me know your birthdates. I am collating them, so that I can acknowledge your birthdays as they occur. If anyone else would like to let me know their birthdates, please leave them in my comments. Thanks.

Anyway, I had better get on with this newsletter ... the day is getting away from me again !!

I hope everyone has a great week.

Take care,

MEOW

It's Monday morning too here in Manila and am not work today. Got the flu so I have to say home. This gives me the chance to go blogging.

Weather has been stormy the past days. In fact this is our 3rd typhoon in just 6 weeks.

Hope weather improves so we can all have a great week ahead of us.

Hi Meow, there are a few good spots around NW NSW if you want to extend your trip a bit The Gawler Ranges in SA are beautiful if there has been a bit of rain there are wildflowers everywhere, get your map out and if you would like to visit a working wheat/sheep farm at Wudinna let me know and I'll arrange it with my daughter and son in law, lovely people, beaut spot about that time of year.

Sounds like you had a pretty nice weekend. I unplug stuff when we have bad storms too, so your not alone there.
If you would like to add my B-day it's July 30th. I'll be turning 32.

You are going to love your iPod!!!! Sorry to hear Chicky lost her game, that's always hard on a kid. But I bet she'll win the next one!

I really seem to be behind everyone else as it is now Monday night here & you have had about 21 comments.

I think I like the school year & the way vacations work in most of the world better than ours here in the US. It is hard on kids to have so long off in the summer, then short times off during the rest of the year. They also tend to forget a lot over those long summer vacations.

Spokane is cooling off, it was only 100F today & they are saying that by the weekend it will be clear down to 89 or so. Their average for this time of the year is 84. They normally have 15 days a year with temp over 90 & so far have had 18 of them with the next 4 expected to be over that & August still to come. I will like that cooler part of my coastal area better when I return home next week.

Hello Connie ~~ Thanks for your comments. We didn't have fog today in the city of Shepp but probablydid in surrounding areas. I went shopping today and it was quite warm 16 degrees, cloudy. You sound like a busy lady. Take care, Merle.

Nicole ... thank you, you are too. Hugs xx

Barbara ... thank you. Chicky was fine with it ... used to losing, sort of ... haven't won too many this season. And, I DO love my iPod ... I bought it today, it's great !!

Dick ... I don't know if our kids could get used to such long end of year holidays, and shorter mid term ones. I think it would be hard on the parents, too !!! I'm glad it is a bit cooler where you are.

Greeneyes ... we must be on the same wavelength !! Ooooh, don't send icebergs ... maybe in summer !! Hugs xx

Enid ... thank you, I have added your name. Happy belated birthday, by the way !!

Merle ... thank you. We had fog for much of the day ... it didn't clear til around 2pm. Turned into a nice day, if a bit short !!

Thanks everyone. Take care, Meow

Mine is June 3.

Smoggy day? I haven't seen one of those since I moved from California! (over 10 years ago now). Can't think of it as a pleasant experience any longer (Not that I EVER did before either). Hope you have a great week too! ~ jb///

I hate stuffing envelopes, and I've done it plenty in my lifetime. My dad is a pastor, and I don't know how many church mailings I've had to do. Ugh.
My birthday is August 23rd.
When is yours?

Kendra

p.s. thanks for saying my kiddos are cute. :) I think they are, too.
