Friday Night Fun ...

Hello my dear Blogging Friends ...

It is Friday night in Australia, so my weekend is ready to go !!

How has your week been ??

I have had a wonderful week, not too busy (for a change), with lots of relaxing things to do. I hope you enjoyed my photos from my day out on Tuesday, and all the postcards I have been receiving. I am enjoying sharing all these things with you. Thank you for all your fabulous comments ... it is so much fun each morning, when I turn on the computer, seeing how many people have visited and commented whilst I was asleep !!

Anyway, I just wanted to wish everyone a wonderful weekend, whatever you may be doing.

I will close with something I found in the Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper this week. It was titled "KIDS' ANSWERS AN EDUCATION", and it is supposedly gleaned from school assignments in the US. I think it could have come from anywhere .... there are some interesting things on this list ...
  • Water is composed of two gins, oxygin and hydrogin. Oxygin is pure gin. Hydrogin is gin and water.
  • Blood flows down one leg and up the other.
  • Dew is formed on leaves when the sun shines down on them and makes them perspire.
  • Mushrooms always grow in damp places and so they look like umbrellas.
  • To prevent milk from turning sour, keep it in the cow.
  • The parts of speech are lungs and air.
  • The inhabitants of Moscow are called Mosquitoes.
  • A census-taker is a man who goes from house to house increasing the population.
  • Most of the houses in France are made of plaster of Paris.
  • The spinal column is a long bunch of bones. The head sits on the top and you sit on the bottom.
  • The word trousers is an uncommon noun because it is singular at the top and plural at the bottom.
  • Syntax is all the money collected at the church from sinners.
  • Beethoven wrote music even though he was deaf. He was so deaf he wrote loud music. He took long walks in the forest even when everyone was calling for him. Beethoven expired in 1827 and later died for this.
  • The sun never set on the British Empire because the British Empire's in the east and the sun sets in the west.
  • Gravity was invented by Issac Walton. It is chiefly noticeable when the apples are falling off the trees.
  • The Magna Carta provided that no man should be hanged twice for the same offence.
  • After his death, his career suffered a dramatic decline.

Now, I thought these were rather amusing ... hope you do, too !!

Take care, everyone ...

Ah, from the mouths of babes.....

Did turning on Word Verification seem to stop the spam comments? I get one occasionally but haven't had any for a couple of weeks or more. Watch now, since I've mentioned it I will probably have some soon. I have thought about turning it on too, but hope to get by without it.

Funny stuff.
I'd say those kids are not little Einsteins, but that doesn't mean they won't get REALLY smart as they grow older.

Fridays Child ... thank you.

DaybyDay ... you are welcome.

Alice ... cheeky !!!!

Michelle ... I thought it was great.

Viamarie ... glad it arrived, and you are welcome, and thank you.

Peter ... yes, they are ... and don't forget the Aerogard !!

Dick ... turning on word verification has eliminated spammers from here ... I hate it though, it is a real nuisance ... but so is the spam !!

Devil Mood ... I can so relate to some of the answers, they appear very logical to me lol.

Dragonflyfilly ... thanks for visiting, I always love new friends. I answered your question over on your blog (well, I think I answered it !!). Glad you like Tom Jones ... I thought it was an appropriate song for someone called Meow !!! Glad you enjoyed yourself, and hope you can come back again real soon.

Diane ... thank you. Hope your Friday night went well. It is 10.04 am as I write this. My weekend is barely off and running. It has been raining overnight, Chicky has netball shortly ... not much else planned.

Tab ... thank you.

Jamie ... I agree, one of them may just become the next ruler of a country !! (Scary thought !!!)

Thanks everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Take care, Meow

Nicole ... sorry, I haven't forgotten you ... we must have been commenting at the same time. I think the "keep it in the cow" comment is quite logical, don't you !!!

Excellent week for me, too. Not only did I pass the two exams for state licenses, but as of Monday I become gainfully employed for the first time in almost three years! Hurrah! If I had any money, I spend all week celebrating!

Syntax...i like that one...very funny...

i will e-mail you maybe Sunday...have to go to bed now...thanks for your comments...the reason i have too many blogs is that i was new to blogging and did not know what i was doing...now i would like to delete them but add the photos as links...i did manage to insert the Creative Commons into my template, but it took me ages [i just did that recently] - yes, and i usually like to keep things light also, well, most of the time anyway...

by the time you get this it might be Sunday!

cheers for now,
pj
