I Have Been Neglectful Again ...

Hello Dear Friends,

I have been neglectful of you all again ... I am so sorry ... please forgive me.

I have been quite busy, and haven't had a lot of computer time this last few days. The weekend was a good one ... Saturday was filled with housework, and some typing. On Sunday Chicky had a dance concert / convention thingy, where we spent all day watching the various dance schools in that organisation do their displays. It was great, but the whole day was gone, and I was really tired, and not at all interested in playing on the computer, when we returned home.

Monday I spend doing computer housework ... backing up, doing spyware and adaware searches, and generally cleaning up and (hopefully) making my computer run quicker and better. No blogging, again. After school, it was a quick-change, then Chicky (and I!!) had a ten-pin bowling party to attend. It was a netball break-up party, and was great fun. Chicky bowled really well (but they had the bumpers up for the kids, so they didn't get any gutter balls !!) Wish us adults had've bowled too, as I looooove to bowl. Oh well, next time !! Then after dinner, the neighbours dropped over, and we discussed plans for the upcoming Broken Hill holiday we are organising for September. Should be fun.

Now on to today ... here I am ... did you miss me ???

Guess what, this appears to be my 200th post ... isn't that an achievement !!! I am so excited, three cheers for me ... hip hip hooray !! (OK, enough of that !!)

We have been having glorious weather ... blue sky and sunshine (although very cold nights and mornings ... yesterday morning my black car was white with frost again !!).

Bambi was doing some climbing in the apricot tree (again !!). I caught a shot of her, but she was already on the way down ... cute pic anyways !!

This next shot is to show you the beautiful blue sky, along with the budding apricot tree ... not particularly exciting, but the sky is gorgeous ... that is how it is today, again ... not a cloud in sight !!

This next one is of the apricot tree (again), and the back of my house. We have a very sparce backyard, not very interesting ... but we love it, anyway !! By the beginning of January, this naked old apricot tree will be weighted down with hundreds of luscious, juicy, yummy apricots. The poor tree is totally neglected, but grows the best fruit ... we have to fight the birds for it all, though !!

Anyway, enough from me. I'm gonna (hopefully) post this quite unoriginal post, and head on out to visit you all. Have a wonderful week.

Take care,

MEOW

Hi, Meow,
Yes, I missed you, my friend! I totally understand, though. I've been busy, too.

We still have some of the hottest weather of the summer ahead of us yet. It probably won't cool off here until at least the middle of October. We'll see....

Bambi is so cute in the apricot tree!

Have a great week, Meow. ;-)

The entire USA has been sweltering. We've cooled off here in CA but it's moved east, as Diane has said.

It's so hard to think of trees budding and blooming. I suppose it must be even stranger for you hearing us talk about our heat waves.

Love the kitty in the tree.

I have been bad too, I haven't been visiting either. Sorry. The picture of Bambi on that tree branch is great I love it.

Greeneyes ... I love your fun loving comments ... sooo funny and cute !! Fortunately, where she was in the tree wasn't too high, although she can climb higher, but always manages to come down again !! It's funny, seeing my home and suburb through all your eyes, has given me a new insight ... it is a beautiful area, and we are very lucky. Thank you so much.

Diane ... thank you. Hope it doesn't get too much hotter for too much longer. Goodness, sounds like the world has gone mad, with heat-waves everywhere (but here !!). Stay cool, friend.

Granny ... lucky you that it has cooled off a bit. Constant day after day heat can be really exhausting. Thank goodness for AC.

3catsmeow4me ... that's cool, we all have lives outside blogging, but it's nice we always come back.

Raggedy ... *giggle* your comments are soooo cute !! Thank you. And yes, the sky looks almost artificially blue ... but no kidding, that's how it is !!

Reverberate ... thank you, and Bambi kitty does look bit and naughty in that tree. Fortunately there were no birds there, as she is too quick sometimes.

Connie ... thank you so much. Your blog is lovely to come to visit, too ... always calming and relaxing.

Barbara ... thank you, that's so sweet. And I have been getting things done.

Poet ... thank you. And it is great fun to see cats anywhere and everywhere (except for those who don't like cats, I spose !!)

Michelle ... yep, it sure is. We love our blue sky here in Melbourne !!

Thanks friends, for all your wonderful comments.
Hope you all have a wonderful week.
Take care, Meow

Hi gorgeous! Yes, I've missed you and so glad to have you back. Though don't apologise...life does tend to get in the way of blogging at times..LOL
Glad you had such a good and busy weekend and I am so jealous of your HUGE Apricot tree!! *yummy*
Congrats. also on your 200th post. We are very close, I am about 203.

I hope you're having a lovely evening my friend...Night, night...Kali (:

Hello Meow ~~ Thank you so much for your comments, glad you liked my verse
Yes it is starting to get a little warmer, thank goodness. I cannot get
about much so sitting around, it is
hard to keep warm. Have a wonderful
day. Take care, Merle.

I long for my car to have frost on it. No joke I will not complain when it's it gets cold it has been a really hot summer here. But that's a long time a way...

Love the pic of your cat in the tree and sky, that is the bluest sky-cool pic!

Congrats on the 200th post!

Bambi has the "Camouflage" thing down! What a gorgeous coat she has!

Love to have that apricot tree, I'd make myself some serious jams!

Have a great week!

Peter ... *giggle* thanks, but sometimes it may appear that all I do is sit at the computer !!

Kali ... thank you. I never seem to get to do anything with the apricots, as they are usually at their best whilst we are at Bonnie Doon holidaying, after Christmas, so Mum and the neighbours score lots of apricots, and I barely get any ... boohoo !!

Merle ... thank you. Don't you think it already makes you feel happier and freer when the sun is shining and it is a little warmer. Gets the motivation going, I think !!

Susie ... thank you. Fortunately we are about 35 km from town, and the pollution is usually non existent. We are truly blessed with the amazing color of our sky.

Dawn ... thank you. I think I like the in-between seasons of Spring and Autumn, where it is pleasant temperatures, and gorgeous days.

Stinkypaws ... thank you. She does look kind of camouflaged, doesn't she ... never really thought of it !!

Thanks friends, hope you are having a great week.
Take care, Meow

Speaking of being neglectful...here I am, late in reading blogs again! lol Dear meow, where are your priorities??? Don't ya know that blogging comes first above all else???? hehe!! I can understand how busy life can get...I've had a few days like that and it seems now I'm scrambling to find time to read blogs and comment! Congrats on your 200th post...one day I will go back into your archives and read every one of them:-) How lucky you are to have your own apricot tree...yummmm!! I'll trade you one of my apples for one of your apricots!! :-)

Meow (aka Connie) said...

Pea ... thank you. Well, in the past few months, blogging had become my priority, but I realised that everything else wasn't being done, so I needed to back off a bit, which I have now done, and don't spend all day on the blog !! It's so easy to do nothing but sit at the computer.
The apricot tree is great ... I'd love an apple tree, too !!
Take care, Meow

Well, duh!

"in ancient times cats may have been worshipped, but so was the dung beetle"

And the dung beatle and cat are still vital parts of life on earth today.

Shows the ancient ones had some sense, eh?

;-)

Love the pictures, as always. Hey, don't apologise for a sparse garden: at least yours is neat. We once got a warning letter from the council to tidy ours up (no rubbish, just an untended garden) or else!

Glad you're still about. I've been neglecting the Bloggersphere too this week, and am only just catching up.

Hmm. I've never actually tried apricot.

Think I'll give it a go and buy one next shopping day.

Have a great day Meow.

:-)

Devil Mood ... thank you. Bambi not only looks wild, at times she is !!

Lisa ... thank you.

Tab ... thank you. Bowling is so much fun. Hubby, Dad & I were in a bowling leage for years, quite some time ago !! It was terrific.

Bossy Britches ... thank you. You have been way busy, with two jobs and being a mum ... don't know how you do it !!

Nicole ... thank you. No, I usually don't make anything with the fruit, as we are usually away when it ripens fully ... shame !! We usually only get a few.

Thanks friends, enjoy the rest of your week. Take care, meow
