Hello Blossoms

Hi There !!

I am very frustrated ... Blogger won't let me post photos properly, so I have had to use Picasa Hello to post this one and the next two. The only problem is, it only lets me post one picture per post ... not happy !!!

Anyway, this is a close-up of the gorgeous flowering cherry (or plum, not sure !!) from the nature strip outside my home. The whole tree is pictured down below, along with a picture of my Camellia bush. I am using this close up as my desk top ... I think it looks great. Spring is on it's way ... whoo-hoo !!

I hope you have all been having a great week.

It is Friday here, almost lunch time. I just wanted to make a quick post to wish you all a happy weekend, and to share this quote I found ...

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
--Leo Buscaglia--

Take care, friends.

Your closeup of the tree is gorgeous, but my favorite is that pink camellia! I'll bet they smell wonderful, too. :-)
Spring is coming a bit early for you there, isn't it?

I also got a lovely package from Green Eyes, which I plan to share as my next post on my blog. :-)

Hope you have a great weekend, Meow. :-)

tomorrow i am going to meet a blogger friend, (we have been chatting on the phone, and this is the first i have had time and money to drive out there - she does not have a car - and i am very excited - what fun - meeting new friends! ... so i will send you a post card, she can help me choose one for you.

I haven't ever used Picasa but sure like flickr. I host my photos there then just link to them with HTML in my post. That keeps the posts small so the Blogger thing tends to work pretty well.

It doesn't seem like you could be into spring already. You really haven't had winter yet and we are still in the middle of summer. I think you were right when you said you don't have very harsh winters.

3catsmeow4me ... thank you.

Diane ... thank you. The camellia smell nice, but not really strong. I think the plants are being fooled into flowering early ... I still think we have some more Winter to come !! Looking forward to seeing your package from Greeneyes ... isn't she gorgeous !!

Loraloo ... thank you, yes it is wonderful, but tooooo early !!

PJ ... thank you. How exciting, to meet a fellow blogger. It hasn't happened to me yet, hopefully one day ... I have met (in the blogworld) heaps of Aussie bloggers, so maybe we can physically meet some day. Let us know how it goes.

Dick ... I've never used flickr, must try it perhaps !! It does seem odd to see the trees flowering already ... way to early, I feel. We have another month of Winter.

Take care, friends ... Meow

Mother nature seems to have decided that winter is nearly over and spring is on the way.
The seasons are so muddled at the moment who could say what's around the corner.

Are those cherry blossoms? They're beautiful. I do believe in touch too. My grandson survived with of course God's Miracle but of course touch was very important to him during the first hours of his life.

My favourite picture is the closeup of the tree, although I do love the flowering bush (sorry, I forget what it's called and going back will make this comment delete and I'm too lazy today, so...) and the other tree.

Anyway, like them all.

The book sounds good. I'll look it up in the library this Saturday. Sounds like something I'd really enjoy and I need cheering up this weekend.

Nothing bad has happened; I think everything with Mike's grandmother has finally hit me, and it's left me feeling completely wiped and down.

Ug.

Anyway, I'm out to dinner (going dutch this time. Boo. Fair, but still. Boo) Saturday night, and that book will probably keep me occupied most of the day, so I'll probab;y feel better come Monday.

Have a great weekend, Meow.

:-)

Hi Meow - it has been ages since I've been through here. I miss you and your sweet simplicity and positive attitude. That picture is absolutely beautiful. I love being able to come here and read about seasons that are opposite of mine. This big world of the Internet has really opened up doors here.

Thanks for posting such a lovely photo. Take care!

Peter ... you are right ... it could snow tomorrow !!! I doubt it, though, but who knows !!

Friday's Child ... not sure what they are, but the tree doesn't grow fruit ... just wonderful blossoms, then red leaves !! Touch is worth so much, isn't it.

Alice .. I hope the weekend works to cheer you up again. YOu have been through some tough stuff, you were bound to fall in a heap eventually. You will climb up again, though ...
Smiles, and hugs from Australia.

Viamarie ... thank you.

Devil Mood ... thank you. I loooove pink (I'm wearing a pink t-shirt today, too !!). I never thought about the blossoms matching my blog, but you are so right, they do.

Bossy Britches ... thank you, we do have mild winters in comparison to what you guys are used to.

Reverberate ... thank you. Blossoms and flowers in the garden do wonders to keep me cheery. Although I usually am cheery, anyway !!

Jean-luc ... thank you.

Angel ... than you.

Tab ... thank you. I'm sure we still have some Winter to come, but it's nice to know Spring isn't too far away !!

Heidi ... thank you, you too !!

Cathy ... thank you, I hope you do too.

Nick ... thank you, it is nice to see them outside, and through my windows.

Raggedy ... naughty blogger, playing up again. I managed to get some more postcards up yesterday, so it was kinda behaving itself ... good luck !!

Da Gal ... thank you for your lovely compliments. It is nice to see you again. Reading about opposite seasons is always great fun, comparing, and looking forward (or not) to what the others have !!

Connie ... thank you, hugs to you, too.

Take care, friends, and enjoy your weekend .... Meow xx

Hello Meow ~~ Beautiful photo of the
blossom. I think you may be a bit ahead of Shepp. The wattles along the river are starting to flower. But my
comellias haven't started yet. I love the quote at the end of your post and have copied it. It has been sunny but not very warm. Thanks for your comments. Have a great Sunday. Cheers,Merle.

Ooooh what beautiful blossoms on the trees...very nice!! I love the idea that your Camellia bush comes from your parents' yard and that you're continuing to let it grow in your own yard...what memories it must hold:-)Do you use Internet Explorer? When Blogger won't let me upload pictures when I'm using Internet Explorer, I use the Mozilla Firefox browser and Blogger uploads the pictures...go figure!

Hi Meow, Thank you for your comment and compliment about Oscar. His head is soooo big about being told he is a beautiful cat, even though he is.

Your beautiful blossom tree is a flowering plum and it looks so pretty. We have the bauhinias flowering here in Brisbane at the moment, but I love it when the jacarandas come out (the time when the kids are sitting their exams).

I love the tree blossoms. And yes, Blogger is clogging lately. I have noticed, if I post a picture first and then add the text Blogger doesn't clog. See if this works for you.

Peter ... thanks, hope all is ok now. Will drop by shortly.

Merle ... thank you . Seems odd that we would be ahead of Shepparton. We have had some glorious weather, though.

Nicole ... thank you, and you are right. We are all developing wonderful networks out here in blogland.

Glimmer Witch ... thank you. Hope it starts to cool down soon (but not too cool that it's suddenly Winter again !!).

Pea ... thank you, it is nice that the tree lives on in the family. I use IE, but may try Mozilla ... heard it can be useful !!

DaybyDay ... thank you. I like your new picture.

Clare ... thank you, you too.

Puss in boots ... thank you, and you are welcome. Oscar, and any cat for that matter, deserves to get big headed, he is gorgeous !!

Chloe ... ooooh, I am glad the postcard arrived.

There's a trick to posting multiple photos at one time using Hello:
Open up Hello, choose BloggerBot as your “friend”, go to send pictures, and select Picasa. Select the photos you want to send in Picasa and click on the Hello button at the bottom of the screen. Hello screen will pop up. You will see thumbnails of the photos you’ve selected. In the bottom right box you can type in a caption, or not, but end each one with two || (that’s two vertical marks one above the other, and on my keyboard it’s to the right of the righthand shift key. Then press enter. Do the same for each photo. For the final one, after the ||, click on Publish. When you go to Blogger, you’ll need to edit your post by putting in text, dragging photos to different spaces, etc. Lots of luck!

Thanks so much Val. I emailed you. I tried this out with the next post ... and it worked. Yay. It is nice to be able to do multiple pics, and they load quicker than blogger, and they have a nice border !!
Thanks again.
Take care, Meow
