Winter .... sigh ..

Hello !!

I think Winter has taken hold of me, and got me in a head-lock !! I feel like crap, and don't know why. I have no motivation, I can't be bothered with the computer (how strange is that, for me!), I am tired, I'm on a bit of a downer .... all I feel like doing is sitting and reading ... sigh ....

At work yesterday, everything that could go wrong, did ... the darned computer program didn't like me one little bit ... it kept kicking me out, or freezing, or losing what I had just entered ... I came home with the worst headache ...

I have been reading a few of your blogs, here and there, via my Google Reader, but haven't felt much like commenting. I have even lost the motivation to write ... that's a bugger, as I am doing my Travel Writing course ... hmmm ...

I will snap out of it, soon I hope !! Until then, please bear with me. I love you all, and will be around soon ...

It is a lovely sunny day today ... perhaps I will go for a walk ... maybe the fresh air will give me the kick in the rear I so obviously need !!

Take care,

Update: Hello again ... you know what ... a bit of fresh air and some loud silly music does wonders !! I spent some time this afternoon outside, in the sun and wind, then came back in and did some re-organising of my pantry, with music blaring ... silly one-hit wonder 80s type music. I now feel much, much better. Thank you to those of you who have commented ... it's nice to know I'm not the only one who feels like this !! Winter can do bizarre things to people, can't it ?
I will be around visiting in the next few days ... I've gotta work tomorrow, and am having lunch with Val on Thursday, so will come visiting when I can. Enjoy your Tuesday & Wednesday.
Bye for now .... Connie / Meow xx

The good news, Meow is that they will go away. I can attest to that as I've been feeling similar these past couple of weeks...then the crunch really came but I burst out of it all with a smile on my face, ready to face the new day, new chapter...

"She'll be right, mate!" ;)

Hey Connie, just think of this: day after tomorrow we are driving out to Ferntree Gully and having those big soft German pretzels! That will cure all your ills. (OK, maybe that doesn't have the effect on other people that it has on me)

In any case, you'll be out of the doldrums soon.

Awwww you poor thing, no fun feeling like that. Winters tend to do that to some people, me included! Going for a walk to clear the mind sounds like a good idea:-) xoxo

Yuk Meow, the winter blues. Not nice, but I bet once the weather gets slightly warmer they will disappear like magic!

You'll get there so don't despair.

Hope you are doing okay over there Meow and feeling better now. I think we all get days like you do in the winter.
Enjoy your lunch with Val and watch some more Neighbours ... that should cheer you up as it's always summer in Ramsay Street.

Sorry you've been a bit down, Connie, but I see by your update that you're feeling a bit more like it now. Just changing up your routine will likely help you feel better.

And I certainly have no room to talk when it comes to irregular posting! I'm doing well to get 2 or 3 posts a week these days, with Emmy keeping me so busy. ;o)

Love and hugs,

Diane

Connie, so glad to hear you've beaten the winter blues.

It's hot and humid in the tropics today with a possibility of rain tonight.

Oh well, at least there's our local karoake show to look forward to later today over some tasty slices of pizza :)

Well i get those days often these days. The bible helps me a whole lot with that. The song I was talking about is "Come Fill My Heart"
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'm getting better by God's grace.

In answer to your questions on my blog: grew up in East Bentleigh, [ but my late hubby grew up in Blackie North just like you, lived near the Kerrimur Rd shops ], moved to Wantirna in 76, and Wantirna Sth in 85. Lived halfway between Knox Gardens Primary and the Catholic school until the end of 04 when I moved up here. Detail enough for ya? We may well have passed each other at the supermarket or something. Small world huh?

Winter? Oh yea that is right. You are on the other side of the planet, and on the other side of the equator. So it is winter there.

what is it like having Christmas in the summer? Do you guys still have to listen to Christmas songs such as "Frosty The Snowman" and "White Christmas"? Cause that would be wrong.
