Postcard Exchange Blog Update ...
Hello Everyone,
I hope your week is going well.
It is Tuesday night here, and it is very, very cold. The weather people are saying we have had probably the lowest maximum daytime temperatures in a decade. Wow !! It was a cold, windy, haily, rainy, yucky day. A great day to stay inside, near the heater. Well, guess who had to go outside, into that yucky weather, and go to work ... I know, I know, I'm not the only one ... but this post is all about me, so there (pokes out tongue!!). I am, however, greatful that it is raining again ... we need the water. I just wish it wasn't so cold. It even snowed in the nearby hills ... for goodness sakes, this is Australia ... it doesn't snow here, other than the ski-fields ... not normally, anyway !!
I only worked a few hours, which was OK, and had plenty of time to come home and warm up, before sitting down at the computer and (finally) updating my Postcard Exchange Blog ... I hadn't scanned and posted any postcards since August last year ... OMG, how slack am I !!! Anyway, I have posted over 30 postcards that I have received since August last year. They are not in the order they were received, unfortunately (due to my disorganisation), except the last few. I just want to say thank you again to everyone who took part in this Postcard Exchange, and to all you wonderful people who continue to send me postcards. I think you are all amazing, and am greatly appreciative of all your efforts. A big Mwuah to you all !!
I have the next 2 days off, then back to work Friday for a full day. At this stage, I don't have a lot planned for my days off, other than grocery shopping on Thursday. I know I will be spending time on my computer, though, as I have created a list of things I want to finally get done. Stuff I have been putting off for ages, for whatever reason. I am in "get it done" mode at the moment, so I will use it !!
I hope you all have a great remainder of the week, and manage to stay warm (in the Southern Hemisphere), or stay cool (Northern Hemisphere).
Take care, and have fun,

I had the best time looking at all your postcards...I loved seeing mine. I bet that was a lot of work. I would love to scan all mine and use them for posts...I should quit being so lazy.lol
Hope you are doing well,
Hugs,
Connie
That postcard exchange was such a success! I love browsing the postcards and seeing just how many places they all came from!
Hope your week is going well!
it sure was cold, it was snowing were I was, but i was on the mountains...lol
Have a great week
Good to know my card got there. I'll look at your Exchange now.
How cool...I'm off to look at all your postcards ^_^
Stay warm!
Eighty degrees F here and sprinkling rain...
Stay warm and safe!
:)
Well, lol!! We are in such hot hot hot weather!! So happy about that, our winter this past one was so long and soooo much snow!! I've never seen this much snow here since I've been here. A lot of people said it hasn't snowed that bad for 20 years!!!A couple of small towns in the mountains were cut off because the snow on the road was so high and bad!!
Anyway, I must stop now or I'll blink and it will all be back, lol! Take care! Cheers!
Brr, that sounds so cold. I was just seeing the snow on LeeAnn's. We're enjoying California sunshine today. I also collect postcards, but most of mine are really old..
xo
yes, i did realize that when i was searching for a new template; i did not want to be a copy-cat, but it is the only one that suited me, so i was hoping you would not mind.
It's hot, breezy and partly cloudy here today, almost 90F as a matter of fact.
As you say, Lake Eildon and the rest of your area needs the rain although I'm sure most of you don't care for the cold weather along with it.
I've had a lazy day with Emmy, and Sue and Cecil, 2 of my sisters.
I need to get into one of those "get it done" moods myself. :-)
Love and hugs,
Diane
Hi Connie,
Being that I just came out of a very hot and steamy afternoon heat over here in the tropics, I sort of want to be in the coolness you are describing. Although it sounds more like downward coldness. Anyway, enjoy your time off. Do whatever your little heart desires :)
I will be going on over to view the postcards and will be sending you some from Belize as well.
Saludos,
Enid
wow, another two comments since i left my feeble comment...i just wanted to say that i originally wanted that template, but my daughter said: "no, you can't have that one,i have that one"...so i chose another, but now, since she never comes over to my Blog anyway, i decided to change to the one that i really wanted, although i did feel a teeny bit bad that i might be suspected of copying you!
when i did that first post my phone rang and it was my sister, so i could not concentrate. And then when she hung up i was so sleepy i could hardly keep my eyes open so i had to go lie down for a while (i feel much better now after a long snooze)
But it really does suit Flamingo's Hideaway, don't you think?
weather here has been hot hot hot (ugh, too much!), but today, finally some rain and it has cooled down a little.
yeah, it is weird that Australia is so cold -- it really should not be! oh well....
chat soon,
pj
p.s. i did so enjoy reading all the postcards you received, i mean, looking at the pictures.
Connie ... thank you, glad you enjoyed it all. It didn't really take that long, once I got going, to scan and post them all.
Loraloo ... thank you. It WAS as success, wasn't it. Thanks to you, and all the other wonderful people who sent me great cards.
Littlejen ... what were you doing in the mountains ... skiing ?? Lucky girl !!
Jean-luc ... thank you, hope you enjoy all the other cards, too.
Dawn ... thank you, enjoy !!
Tammy ... lucky you, the warmth. I'll try to stay warm, thanks.
Renae ... we had a terribly hot summer, and now we are back to what is a "normal" winter, which we haven't had for years. It's kinda nice, although we aren't used to the cold anymore.
Susie ... it wasn't quite the cold as at Lee-Ann's, we didn't get the snow here in the suburbs, but it sure was cold enough ... brrr !!
Dragonflyfilly ... of course I don't mind ... it is a great template.
Diane ... glad you had a lovely lazy day ... they are the best, particularly when it is quite warm. Hugs.
Enid ... thank you. I am enjoying my day of nothing, just fiddling, and stuff ... nice.
Take care, everyone ... Meow
Dragonflyfilly ... you must have been commenting at the same time I was replying to comments.
I also think the template suits Flamingo's HIdeaway ... good choice !!
It is weird that it is Winter here, and summer where you are ... hard to understand, sometimes !!
I am glad you enjoyed the postcards ... I am currently replying to your comments.
Thank you, and take care, Meow
It's cold still up this way too. I got up at 6 but said to myself "Dammit!" and crawled back in under the covers again!pk
Hi Meow, sounds like you're in a real organising mode.
I am so over this cold weather. I mean, we haven't had a cold winter for years and it's a bit of a shock to the system, isn't it?
Take care and keep warm.
xoxo
I admire your "getting things done" mode, I should take a leaf out of your book.
Lee ... oooh, it would be nice to spend the day in bed !!
Puss-In-Boots ... my organising mode continues !! I kind of like this Winter, although it is very cold ... it reminds me of how it used to be !!
Val ... this "getting things done" mode never lasts long ... gotta make the most of it !!
Take care, Meow
Meow ~ I SURE hope you are enjoying your days off? ~ jb///
I'm going to have a look at your postcards right now -- hope you have a great couple-of-days-off!
LZ blogger ... thank you, I Sure am enjoying my days off. Back to work tomorrow, though !!
Kimber ... g'day, long time no see. Hope you are well. I'll be over to visit soon.
Take care, Meow
I just love reading about weather in the Southern Hemisphere. Being as I'm in the Northern. And you all probably feel the same. It's so interesting... to know not all our weather is the-same-season.
