Another Weekend Is Over ...

It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dyin'
that never learns to live.
--Bette Midler--

It's Sunday night, almost beddy-byes time for me. It has been a good weekend ... an extremely lazy day today ... nice (other than cleaning out my plastic/Tupperware cupboard, and some laundry !!). Saturday was quite busy ... Chicky's netball in the morning, housework and preparations for visitors, then a very successful Tupperware Party. I had a couple of wonderful friends book their own parties, and with the great sales, I scored some brilliant freebies ... whoo-hoo !! I loooooove freebies !!

I spent some time today setting up Google Reader (similar to Bloglines, apparently), which hopefully will save me some time when it comes to visiting your blogs. At the moment, I actually visit every blog in my favourites to check whether it has been updated ... which can be quite time consuming, as I have quite a few blogs in my favourites !! I do have Blogrolling installed on my sidebar, but these days it rarely works for some reason, so that is no use to me !! As I was entering everyone's blog address, and subscribing to it (as is required by Google Reader), I didn't come across any that it didn't want to work for ... so I am quite happy about that. Now, all I need to do is remember to check out Google Reader first !!! (I have put it on my personalised Google Home Page, so it should be in my face when I go on the internet !!

Anyway, enough from me for now ... I need to go to bed !! I hope to catch up on all your blogs in the next day or 2 (I don't go to work until Wednesday at this stage, so I have some play time !!).

Hope your weekend has been a good one.

Have a great week.

Take care,

It's a beautiful Sunday morning here and I'm just about ready to go get some more yard work done:-) I have Bloglines and I love it...before I had that, I use to check every blog I had on my list and it would take me all day! Bloglines is sooo much help and I'm not visiting blogs for nothing anymore! lol I have heard of Google Reader so at least I know I have that if Bloglines should fail! xox

It is uncommon that my blog is not updated daily. Of course you are in the future. It is Sunday Afternoon here - and I commented AFTER you posted. It is probably early Monday morning for you.

So happy Monday!

Your perfect weekend lacked one small detail. You did not mention a jet boat. But I understand how that is. I did not hit the water either this weekend.

PS - I may get a power cat. It is like a regular cat, only more powerful.

I hope your week is a goodie!

Lazy days are wonderful even if a little laundry needs to be done.

Meow: NIce to see you had some good stuff happening and a few days to play! Enjoy them! :)

Glad you had a good weekend Meow and look forward to having you around in the next few days as you don't have to work :).

Have just been hearing what's going on in Neighbours from a friend who downloads them off the internet. Sounds like it's quite good.

Hi Meow, glad you are finding my advice about Google Reader useful. If you ever do come across any blogs that are not accepted by Google Reader, I recommend blogarithm.com which will email you when a blog has been updated. Since I have only 2 blogs that don't work with google reader, this is a good workaround.

Looking forward to seeing you at the workshop on June 1st!

Hi Connie ~~ Glad you had a good weekend - with freebies even -who doesn't like freebies? The weather
has been really nice, but a jumper is
needed most days. It would be nice
to have a meeting of Victorian bloggers, as I don't expect Peter will be down for awhile.
Have a good few days rest before work again. Take care, Love, Merle.

I've had a very lazy weekend, too, Meow. It's a long weekend up this way...May/Labor Day...and I'm just about ready to cut into a juicy thick t-bone with fresh mushroom sauce and a couple of other accompaniments! And I'm starving!

Have a good week.

I love that song "The Rose".

I've had a pretty lazy weekend, apart from doing some transcribing in the morhings.

I think it's great meeting new friends.

As for Bloglines, it's never worked for me so maybe I'll try Google Reader

Have a good week and don't work too hard.

all Sundays should be lazy! And who doesn't love freebies?
I have vague memories of my Grandmother's tupperware parties. I remember biscuits and jelly :)
Thank God for those inventions that make our blog-life easier!

Hi Sweetie! You will really love using Google reader, I don't know how I ever got by without Bloglines.

Sorry my comments have been few and far between, my links have been messed up for awhile and finally have them straight!!!

Have a good week!

I too, have heard a lot about Google Reader. Think I should take a look.

What kept me from it at first was... I thought you read _just_ the lines of the latest entry. Thus, not see the pretty pictures and the like, which the person had on their own blog entry.

Now, I love to add pretty pictures to mine. And I'd really hate to think of people not seeing them. Just reading my words, on some quick-blog-reading-thing.

But I bet it's not really like that. I bet it does show you, who posted last. And one could read it there, OR go to the person's blog. I bet.

But I should go see. :-)

I also have some difficulties to find my links ! My sidebar has disappeared not only on my blog but also the "add page elements" inside ! I wonder when Blogger will repair it, because that must be a Blogger problem.
With my Arthur tail tales, I get so funny comments I have to laugh all the time. Robyn wrote she hoped that Arthur has not to be de-tailed ! and another one said that this is very important for world's history ! Hilarious ! Hope you find the time to play in the future !

Indeed a big weekend for me as well. I finaly finished installing my tile, it took me a week, but all done.
