OMG, It's Sunday Already !!

Don't seek to merely get rid of the negative things in your life. Instead, transform their energy into something of real positive value.
--Ralph Marston--

I've been tagged by Puss In Boots ...

Here are the rules:

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves.
Then they need to tag seven more people to play. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your blog!

Here are my seven random facts:

1. I hate wearing socks and shoes.
2. I am obsessed with stationery ... you should see me when I enter an office supplies shop !!
3. I love my family ... they are the most important things in my world.
4. I have never lost my drivers licence (although I have lost the odd point here and there for speeding !!)
5. I'm not a big fan of driving at night, particularly on unlit roads, and when it is raining !!
6. I am rarely ever late when I go somewhere ... as a matter of fact, I am usually way early !!
7. I hate gardening.

There you go, that's my seven facts ... now, who to tag ??? It has taken me so long to do this tag, everyone has probably done it. I'll leave it up to yourselves to choose to or not to do this tag ... how's that !!

Now, on with a regular post ...

Since I last wrote (last Monday), I have had a busy week (as I itemised in that post !!). Dad's birthday went well, I ended up buying him a couple of shirts (he loooooves new shirts !!). I think he liked them !! The funeral was lovely, although very sad. I felt totally drained by the end of the day, and had an early night (which, these days, is sooo unusual for me). I have spent the better part of this weekend on the computer (for some reason, a friend suggested I set up a MySpace ... so I did !! As if I haven't got enough to do with the blogging !!!). I am now, hopefully, going to come around and visit all your blogs.

We have had some wonderful, long overdue rain, this past few days. On the drive to Mansfield on Friday, it was lovely to see the amount of water everywhere. All the farm dams are filling, and the run-off is wonderful. I think Lake Eildon received 46mm on Friday ... whoo-hoo. Here's hoping it continues.

I don't have a lot planned for the up-coming week (other than working Wednesday and Friday). Hopefully I will be able to spend a bit more time blogging. It is Hubby's birthday next Sunday, so I need to think of what to get him ... hmmm, another difficult one !!

Anyway, that's enough for me.

Hope you all have a wonderful week, and enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Till next time ...

Take care,

It's still late Saturday night here, almost midnight. :-)

It was nice to catch up with what's going on in your world, Meow. As you're cooling off there it's warming up here.

Have a great week!

Love and hugs,

Diane

Hi Diane,
Hope the rest of your weekend is going well.
It is, finally, cooling down here ... I've needed to wear a jacket these past 2 days, and the heater is going strong !!
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs, Meow

Hi Meow. Thanks for doing the meme.

I'm so envious of the rain you have had. It fizzled out before it reached us and we got...nothing.

Maybe I should stop showering, brushing my teeth, washing my hair...and have no friends...lol!

Have a great week.

Val ... haha ... stationery fetish ... that's a good description !!

Thanks ladies.

That quote kind of goes along with the idea that.... you can't just break a habit. You have to replace a habit, with another one.

And since we usually try to break 'bad' habits, we need to replace the 'bad' one, with a 'good one. Or so I read once....

Hi Meow:-) I'm finally catching up on missed posts...really enjoyed reading the random things about you! Except for the last one, the other 6 could have been me writing it:-) I'm barefeet whenever I can be, I love stationery, I love my family, I'm always early for appointments, never lost my drivers license except for a couple of points for speeding and I don't like driving at night or in rain...see? lol Stay well!! xoxo

Early Bird ... I can relate to the "painfully" early thing ... me too !! It's quite embarrassing sometimes, being places so early. I seem to spend a lot of time reading in my car !!!

Peter ... I hope the rain continues ... fingers crossed.

Jean-luc ... oooh, I found you, sent you a friend request !!

Mari-Nanci ... good point, replacing bad habit with a good one (but how long before the good habit becomes bad !?!?!)

Pea ... haha, knew there was a reason we connected in blogland !!

Bossy ... shoes, blech !!! Hate em !!

Take care, Meow

Hi Connie ~~ Glad your week doesn't look too busy at this stage, after last week. Yay - my modem is here at last- not before time. I am relieved
not to have to have eye surgery, but pleased to hear your father-in-law did so well at 80. That's reassuring.
Has been raining here again today.
Have a great week my friend, Love,
Merle.

It often doesn't seem possible that the week has run through and it is back to a beginning again. Of course now that I am retired almost all the days feel about the same. I am still working hard to get my house cleaned out to list it for sale. Getting closer but it too sometimes feels a bit like I am chasing a carrot on a stick that is attached to me.

It seems like you're in for a quieter week this week, Meow. Go with the flow and enjoy it. :)

I was so happy to hear from everybody in Aus about the rain. My good friend was saying that all the pollies where she lives are being all serious and saying, "Now, don't get excited, its only 30 points.." but gee wizz its better than nothing! :D I just love the sound of rain on the roof, and the way it spatters in the dust.
of course, there's too much of it here for there to be any dust, but never mind.

1. I hate wearing socks and shoes.
*Really?? That's funny!

2. I am obsessed with stationery ... you should see me when I enter an office supplies shop !
**Me too!! I can spend ages in Officeworks.

3. I love my family ... they are the most important things in my world.
***nods***

4. I have never lost my drivers licence
*I should think not!

(although I have lost the odd point here and there for speeding !!)
*err, yes me too.

5. I'm not a big fan of driving at night, particularly on unlit roads, and when it is raining !!
*I never drive at night without my specs these days. Can't see enough!

6. I am rarely ever late when I go somewhere ... as a matter of fact, I am usually way early !!
*I used to be chronically casual, but having a Scandinavian husband got me right on track and like you, a little ahead of schedule. They're very time-oriented, these people!

7. I hate gardening.
*? fair enough! I like it as long as I remember to put on gloves first, which I sometimes don't because I start off thinking, "I'll just do a little bit..." and before I KNOW it I'm weeding and pruning...

sort of a long comment, oops!

Wow, you have been very busy!

I have a myspace page too, I don't visit a whole lot, but have found some old friends that way.

Hope the rest of your week is a good one!

Meow said...

Hello, dear friends, please forgive me for neglecting you all ... it is not intentional. A friend talked me into setting up a Myspace (link on my sidebar !!). Thus, I haven't been visiting you all as I had planned ... I did get through all you Aussies over the weekend, though. SOrry, everyone else ... I will get to you soon.
I am at work now, and shouldn't be playing, so I will get off now.
Be back soon.
Love Meow

Have a great remainder of the week!!!

I have to agree with your first one....I can't stand to wear socks and shoes. Don't know what it is about them but I just don't like it :)

Hi again Connie ~~ Thank you so very much for your Birthday Greetings.
That was so nice of you. I have had a great day and tomorrow my son and his wife are coming to stay overnight
and do some weeding and gardening for me. So all is well and so far 73 doesn't hurt a bit. Thanks again, my
friend, take care, Love, Merle.
