Hello ...

Hope you have all had a wonderful week. Mine has been hectic, and I have a few projects to complete this weekend, but I hope to drop by all your blogs at some stage over the next few days.

I received this in an email today, and thought it was too lovely not to share ...

I've never made a fortune,
and it's probably too late now.
But I don't worry about that much,
I'm happy anyhow
and as I go along life's way,
I'm reaping better than I sowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.
Haven't got a lot of riches,
and sometimes the goings tough
But I've got loving ones all around me,
and that makes me rich enough.
I thank God for his blessings,
and the mercies He's bestowed.
I'm drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed
I remember times when things went wrong,
My faith wore somewhat thin.
But all at once the dark clouds broke,
and the sun peeped through again.
So Lord, help me not to gripe,
about the tough rows I have hoed.
I'm drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.
If God gives me strength and courage,
When the way grows steep and rough.
I'll not ask for other blessings,
I'm already blessed enough.
And may I never be too busy,
to help others bear their loads.
Then I'll keep drinking from my saucer,
'Cause my cup has overflowed.

When I think of how many people in this world have it worse
than I do, I realize just how blessed we really are.

Hope you all ...

Catch you soon...

Take care,

Hi Meow, good to catch up with you. That's a lovely poem and maybe I should hang it somewhere to look at when I start bitching about life...grin.

Hope all is going well with you and yours.

That is very true. When I compare my life to some other people I live in paradise ! Arthur has hurt himself I found him this morning on my bed and he gnarls when he moves his hind leg. I even had to serve him breakfast on my bed ! Tomorrow I will go to the vet. Hope nothing is broken.

It's funny how we can wallow in our mire, until we see how much better we have it. Great poem

Seems we are all busy right now! Work does that to a person I fear!

But you are so correct that we are truly blessed and have to remember that each time we start to complain about how unfair something is.

Enjoy your week!

Hi Meow ~~ Loved the poem and it makes us think that there is always
someone who is worse off than we are.I have printed it to re-read
again and again. Don't get too dog tired and growl all day. Take care,
Love, Merle.

Hi Meow,
Thanks for dropping in and commenting on my photos of Topsy! Thanks for offering to share your recipe for poffertjes; I might take you up on that, if the recipes I already have don't turn out...I haven't tried them yet, so I'll let you know. Is your pan a round one with a flat bottom and a wooden handle? Mine is in the photo of my birthday pressies, if you haven't seen it already.
