I'm A Neglectful Blogger ...

Just a quick hello, to let you know that I am still alive. It has been hard to find time to blog ... not that I haven't wanted to, because I have ... it is still Summer Holidays, Chicky is still home (back to school on the 31st January), and we have been busy doing all sorts of things, but nothing really exciting enough to write about !!

I have done a heap of house-cleaning ... sort of a spring clean (even though it's Summer!!). I rearranged my lounge room ... it looks great now, I love it much better than how it was. We have had visitors, gone here, there and everywhere ... you know how it is !!!

Gattina, I apologise for not doing a "Cats On Tuesday" this week ... hopefully next week.

As you may have heard on your news programs, Victoria is still in the grip of some wicked bushfires. We have also had some mega-hot days ... thanks goodness for air-conditioning. Although that was no use in many parts of the state on Tuesday late afternoon ... the bushfires burnt out something which caused a huge power blackout for a large part of Victoria. We were fortunate, ours didn't go down, so we could still relax with our air-conditioning ... it was 39C (just over 100F), and very, very warm !

I hope to be back to regular blogging again soon ... please continue checking in ... I am here, I haven't left you all. I hope to drop by and visit many of you over the next 24 hours. Thanks again for being patient blog-friends !!

I will leave you with some photos taken during our holiday at Bonnie Doon, of a time long gone, which has been uncovered by the low lake levels.

Enjoy the remainder of your week.

Take care,

MEOW

Yes I saw some of the bushfires in TV and read it on blogs. Must be terrible ! Sorry, that I don't think of people in the first place but of the poor animals living in there. This heat must be terrible we had once 35° here in Belgium and as only very few people are equipped with air condionning it were unbearable. We bought one on wheels just for the living room and that was perhaps not perfect but better than nothing. It had never been so hot over here. Doesn't matter that you forgot your poor cat on tuesday, lol hope you fed her though !
In the moment we have a terrible storm here 120 km/h it whistles around the house even the cats are a little afraid of this strong blowing. Tonight we probably will see all damages on TV. So far our house is still standing !

Sorry to hear about the brushfires! It's scary. California gets them a lot. Florida usually doesn't.

Hey! Good to know you're well, just busy.

It's cold & flu season in the states, so when someone disappears, it's not good news.

LOVE your Cats on Tuesdays! Can't wait for the next installment!

Hope all is well and that you enjoy your time with family! D :)

My inlaws live in Gippsland and they are experiencing the unbearable heat as well. Stay inside in that cool air and stay safe. Lots of love, Nicole xox.

Oh Meow, those photos of the old town uncovered are so sad, not just because there's a lack of water, but to think of people losing their town all those years ago. It's like a death.

Glad to see I'm not the only neglectful blogger around.

Hey, you think YOU'RE bad? Try visiting my Blog and seeing how regularly I've been updating recently.

I'm still here. And ok. Ish. Personal stuff, and I can't really talk about it on my Blog until its over. Not that I have the energy, anyway.

But I'll be back to normal ASAP, and I'll always be patient, Meow, not just considering that it would be hypocritial if I wasn't. Besides, your posts are always worth the wait.

:-)

Love the pictures. And thankYOU for being patient too, with ME.

I meant to add that the pictures were deep and made me think! Sorry! It got lost, somehow, or I simply forgot to put it in. That's perfectly possible. As I've whinged about unendingly for the past three months: I'm more than a little wiped right now.

Are you and your family safe?
I know that's selfish of me, and there are others that matter, but to me you and yours are more important to me.

Much love, and have a great weekend.

Those pics are evidence of just how bad the drought is...let's hope the rains come soon...and remain and remain! This country is in need of a huge wet season. Look at all that water out in the Torrens...wouldn't be lovely to harness some of that to aid other areas?

Hi everyone, thanks for all your comments. I'll be a lazy blogger, and not answer them all individually, but in one big collective ... THANK YOU ... you are all wonderful blog-friends.
Take care, Meow xxx

Hi Meow:-) Oh I know how busy one can be, especially during the summer time, so please don't worry too much about not being able to blog or visit too often at the moment! I use to try to visit everyone every day and just find I can't keep up with that pace or I'd be at the computer all day long...now I visit when I have time:-) Take care dear Meow and the pictures speak for themselves don't they..wow! Hugs xoxo
