Hi !!

Hello Friends,

Just a quick hello today from foggy Melbourne. It is currently 10 past 2 on Tuesday afternoon, and only now is the sun starting to pierce through the fog. It was a real pea-souper ... guess who didn't take any photos, though !?!?! I haven't seen it quite this bad for some time. Planes were grounded, and others had to be diverted ... the fog was too thick around the airport !! It seems that it was a universal fog ... all of Melbourne was covered ... from the airport in the north-west, to the outer suburbs where I live, in the east ... and beyond, too, I guess !! More to come in the next few days, too, apparently.

I have a day off today, and have been busy playing with my new multi-function printer. I bought a Canon Pixma MP610, and I got it for a ripper price !! It prints / copies / scans. The print quality of the photos is supposedly photo-lab quality. I have printed a few photos already, and am hugely impressed. Much better than the last printer (which has gone to the great printer-graveyard in the sky !!). I am quite pleased, too, as I just received my latest Choice Magazine (a consumer guide magazine), which lists this printer as the best-buy ... it received great percentages in all the tests, and only came second on the list to another Canon, which was about $100 more expensive !! Whoo-hoo ... I'm glad this one called out to me to buy it !!!

I thought I'd share a few photos from our most recent drive into the high country, a couple of weeks ago. It is really beautiful up there.

Anyway, that's enough from me for now. Hope you are all having a great week.

I'll be back soon ...

Take care,

PS ... I owe a huge apology to all those bloggers whose birthdays I have neglected to acknowledge. A huge happy birthday to everyone who has celebrated a birthday these past few months ... hope you had wonderful days. I really need to organise myself better so I don't keep forgetting things !!

Hi, Connie. Glad to see a new post from you, and lovely pics as usual.

I bought a new printer/copier/scanner about a year ago, but the darn thing won't pull the glossy photo paper to print my pictures! It will print on the matter paper and the thin, cheap stuff, but not the high quality glossy paper.

I've exhausted all my options on getting it exchanged or serviced so I'm stuck with it. I just use it now to scan and copy and bought a cheap printer just to print pics on photo paper.

I'm glad you got a good deal and are happy with your new printer.

Hope you have a great rest of your week, Connie.

Love and hugs,

Diane

We should be almost to summer here in the Pacific Northwest part of the US but it has been a different year weather-wise. It is raining all day with a high temp of only about 57F. That's a good 10 degrees below what it should be this time of the year. I don't know if it will get better or not. Just as we think it will, it returns to cold and wet. Maybe next year?

Good to hear from you again.

absolutely gorgeous photos ...
and that fog wasn't QUITE universal - blue skies this side of Macedon and I ran into the pea soup about Sunbury.
Like you, no photos though and no place to pull up on the Freeway safely anyway
oh well there'll be another foggy day I'm sure
keep well

Hey there connie! Sorry i havn't been round in awhile. I cleaned out my blog favs list the other month and must of accidently deleted yours and just now I remembered you and went through my comments to find your blog again and re-link to it.

I saw the fog on the news for melbourne and sydney. We in Brisbane have had mostly rain lately.

Those photos look great!

No problem, Connie! I no longer have birthdays. I have "Return Days" - I'm returning to my earlier years!

Sorry I've been so remiss this year. I promise I will try to do better!

Hi Connie, Yes, we've had a lot of fog here, too.

I like your photographs...our countryside is great to photograph, isn't it? It's so diverse, from state to state, and it's all beautiful

Hope all is well with you and yours.

Hugs

Robyn
