A Movie, A Package, More Typing ...

Tuesday started out as another foggy, cold morning, which turned into a lovely sunny day. That's the way of my world at the moment. I think the weather is about to turn, though, as the forecast is for cold, wet weather over the upcoming weekend ... great, just in time for a long-weekend !! Typical !!

Hubby and I went to the movies with my Mum and Dad this morning ... the 10.50am session. We have cheap movies on Tuesdays, so thought it would be ideal. Also, Hubby had the day off. Anyway, we went and saw "Poseidon". What can I say, other than ... Wow, what a great movie. Although it was very similar to the original (with Shelley Winters) ... it was a remake, after all ... it was still really, really good (at least we thought so !!). The special effects were spectacular. We were on the edge of our seats throughout much of the movie. It ended very slightly differently to the original, but much the same, also. If you like disaster movies, you will love this one. The actors were great ... I just love Kurt Russell and Josh Lucas (I loved him in Sweet Home Alabama ... those gorgeous "come to bed" eyes !!), and it was great to see Freddy Rodriguez in a role other than that he plays in Six Feet Under. If you get the chance to see it, do it ... I give it 4 1/2 pawprints (out of 5) !!

I received another package from a blogging friend today. Thank you, dear Connie, for the lovely things you sent me. I ask again ... how on earth did you know I like cats !?!?!?!

I got another rather large typing job today, so it looks like I may be stuck in front of this computer typing (instead of blogging) again for a day or two. It will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon, though, as I am working for a few hours Wednesday morning at the boarding cattery again. (For those of you living in Melbourne, if you are ever in the need of a boarding cattery, when you go away on holidays or something, I can recommend a great one. It is called Catnap Cattery, and is in Rushdale Street, Knoxfield. I have been taking my cats there since 1989. They receive the best care, and the people that work there are wonderful ... real cat lovers. Just had to get in this promo, hope you don't mind !!). On Thursday afternoon, I will be with my elderly friend at the retirement village again, helping her with her book, then Friday morning I am helping at the school canteen. I also need to do the shopping, and pack some stuff together, so that we can head off up to Bonnie Doon on Saturday morning for a 3 day weekend. I guess the remainder of my week is looking kind of busy ... oh my goodness, and here I am blogging. I guess I'd better close here !!!

Hope the remainder of your week allows you some relax time ... mine probably won't !!

Take care everyone,

MEOW

Phew! It seems like your whole week is full. Hope you get some rest in between this heavy schedule. Nice gifts you got there from Connie. Anyone would know you love cats. Your blog shows it even your music does. (Lol)

I think maybe Connie is a mind reader with the cat thing, LOL!!

Hope you can eek out a minute to relax some this week. If not I'll do a little extra of it for you. This week we will be sitting at the pool, planning a day bike trip and maybe some fishing at the lake.

Man, I love summer.

One of our favorite stores is a place called Good Kitty, Bad Kitty in the little waterfront arty tourist town of La Conner, about 12 miles from home. This link is to their web page which you will probably find of interest. Annie could always find things to buy there & we would eat in the restaurant that is on the same pier. Go check it out!

in Canada we call that a "Cat- House" - no, i just making a bad joke, don't mind me, 21:31, time for my beddy-byes as i am getting silly. But i also remember when we lived in England and my ex- had two goats, when we went up to Kent for a few days, we boared them at a "Goatel" -- that's the truth!

nighty nite for now, i have a busy day of finishing blogging Mikado tomorrow.
